2nd home game, same result. I did notice and improvement on offense but couldnt close the deal on a top flight Goalie. Definatly were hurting on Defense with Macias in the stands and Wilson called up. Dont look to Promising so far.

the only highlight of last nights game was seeing stoa get his first professional goal, other than that this team needs alot of work, granted they outshot the rampage, but the outcome was still that they lost.
I WANT SACCO BACK, i can't believe i just said that after giving him so much s**t.

From 2007. I'd take that first team over this. IT IS TERRIBLE.
Was very disappointed in the EFFORT, there was NONE. The Stoa goal was a fluke, Montoya just had it hit the heal of his glove or a shut out was in order.
We can't score 5-3. We killed a ton of power plays, Willsie looks like a rookie (He may just be done, he has definitely lost a step or 3). Just sad, don't know what the announced attendance was last night but guarantee there weren't more than 1500 there.

Attendance says 2338, not even buying that.
I also didn't appreciate being unindated with political ads paid for by Gilbert or not. I am all for Issue 3 but I don't want it in my face at a Hockey game. I go to get away from everyday life, I go to be ENTERTAINED, not to be brainwashed.
I will still vote for issue 3 but no way is that what I expected or wanted to see at a hockey game. i think the word is CRASS.

HECK! We couldn't score on a 6 on 3! Yes, they were putting some shots on, and yes, Montoya was really good last nite (shoulda had the Shutout), but on the 6 on 3 he gave up a rebound with a wide open net and 3 guys fanned and missed and couldn't put it in the back of the net. Sure we were down 4 - 1, but that might have gotten things turned around. This is setting up to be a loooooong year. 2 down - 38 to go.

On the upside, we maybe came close to seeing a goalie fight at the end. Maybe not close, but the potential was there. Weims came out a bit. That would have made it all worth it.

there was no life from anyone on that team.
dupuis looked like he didnt want to be there as well as willsie, haydar should just go play in europe and the rest of this so called team should just quit while they are ahead, i'm spending my hard earned money for this! i understand that they have new players and a new coach but come one at least make an effort.

Bottom line. To win at this level takes winning the special team battle. 0-9 on the PP just won't cut it. Give some other players a chance. All of these guys have played the PP at some point. The current group has been pathetic.

The exact thing i said to my wife last night leaving the Q, at least we got our tickets for $5 each. I feel for ya Hansons, I know you live and die with this team, it's tough when they don't put a winner out there, even the entertainment was a bit down. GET RID OF PRITT, world's worst voice on a microphone. BRINGS THE WHOLE MOOD OF THE Q WAY DOWN

Memo to Coach Quinn...when your team is losing by 3 goals, there is 3 min left and you have a face-off in the San Antonio end you might want to pull your goalie. Mad

There's only a couple games I've spent more than $8 per seat, and I'm almost never in anything other than club seats. I'm a **** for attending nearly as often as STH at those rates, but craigslist has been awesome for me.

I have free tickets for Friday's game through my wife's employer. 4 club seats against the moose (My second favorite AHL team).

I can't wait until Haydar's old team comes to town.

quinn did pull weiman when we had that 5 on 3, he pulled weiman to get that extra skater. i looked at the time and there was 8 min. plus left in the game and we STILL COULDN'T SCORE, besides pulling you goalie when you're down 3 isnt a smart idea, we don't have the talent yet or chemistry to make that work, so it made sense to just leave weims in net instead of making the score even worse than it was.

Agreed. Pulling him for the 6 on 3 was OK. At that point trying to get something going is gutsy, but who knows what would have happened if we pulled it off...

I couldn't agree more, except that I'm not for issue 3 but thats for another time. But yes, thats shameless advertising. Your not giving us a good product on the ice yet you want us to support more avenues to take our money.

Aside from that, did any of you see Wed. P.D.? They finally gave the Monsters some game coverage but I doubt they will continue if all they have to write about is bad games.

Great, it isn't that you are against it, you just felt the same way. Last year in the Presidential Race, same thing, it was ok for entertainment but Gilbert's money was behind OBAMA. I don't go for the political value, I go for the entertainment value.
GET SOME LIFE IN THAT PLACE AND START WITH THE PA ANNOUNCER.

I'll make sure I look for the guy in the stands waving the rainbow flag as the Moose Team walks out of the tunnel then I'll know where your seats are.

To be honest you need to look at the underlying situation before you call it shameless advertising. People blast Cleveland all the time for being "such a dumpy of a city" and "why cant they be more like p-burg or various other places. Gilbert is trying to bring revenue sources and attract tax dollars to cleveland that would potentially revive the down town economy.

I myself think yes maybe it is a little to excessive as far as all the way around the arena, however; I think by doing so it can elminate the notion for a typical voter to say oh I didn't know about this issue.

Look at it from a marketing angle, spend advertising dollars where you can reach large groups of fans/potential voters. Now I cant speak for him and say that he has to pay for it all, but I think it is safe to assume that he doesnt have to pay an arm and a leg to do this advertising.

As far as putting out a good produt and all of the naysayers out there. Really it has only been a couple of games into the season give it some more time and have some reasonable expectations.

yes, it's only been a handful of games BUT look at what colorado is doing, they are winning and yes i know it is still young in the season and they are probably not going to keep it up the whole season but... i wonder if we would have the same luck if sacco was still here or would this be the year if sacco was still down here, makes one wonder. hopfully quinn can pull a rabbit out of his hat quick because if they keep losing the fan support is going to die quickly as for me i will be with this team in the GOOD AND THE BAD and i can speak my frustration or jubliation on this open forum.

Yes speaking frustrations are good to do. I think its a good Idea, and who knows maybe it will help attract a larger crowd down to the games.

I myself and the people that I attend the games with like hockey for what it is and will also be there through the good and the bad. I have been an STH from the begining of the monsters along with the barons and the l-jacks.

Lets see where they can go in the next couple of games when they start to gel more as a squad.

Whats your opinion as far as the announcer and in game entertainment this year?

you don't want to know my opinion about the in game entertainment because it is a joke, having skits running while play is going on, songs that go past the puck drop.
if any of these people knew what the he** they were doing it would be amazing, it's not hard to figure out hey they started up again lets turn off the music or stop running the stupid skit on the q-tube.
as far as the announcer, i dont know, liked the original guy this guy last season couldn't pronounce certain player's names but...
i am an old schooler i like to hear the organ more but with a good mix of music.
