They added a 3rd Jersey, Black with red crests and the Monsters Logo across the front...
They are doing a couple of special Nights, one is PINK ICE NIGHT and they will have Special Jerseys for those...
This organization is going to break me in the new jerseys and specials they are going to have...

Nope. THey passed around a photo of it and I almost took a picture with my camera phone but elected not to.

The jersey is all black with the Monster on the crest. There are also red stripes in the jersey I think vertical down the sleeves and below the armpits. They look sweet, I think we won't see them on the players until the turn of the new year if I heard correctly yesterday.

Yes, you heard correctly. I believe the time table was mid-season. I like them. Maybe some more white trim, but I think they look very nice. I will be getting one. Some great promotions and give-a-ways, I was impressed with what I heard.

to be honest, i know they wont be wearing the new sweaters until about mid-season but i would like to see these as the main sweater design and take last years and make them the alternates. i dont know but i do know this i will be picking up an authentic one when they go on sale in the pro shop.

I couldn't agree more. The new jersey with The Monsters Logo on the chest is what the overwhelming majority of fans wanted all along. I'm glad they are going to add it as a 3rd jersey. I can see this being the primary jersey very soon. They said they sold alot of the "M" Monster jeserys, just wait until the ones with the Monster on the chest come out

i'd buy a second jersey for that third jersey.

As soon as he held up that picture of it, I just looked over at my wife, and she said "Yes, you can get one."

An authentic would be nice but I may have to settle for the replica. We'll see...

The EDGE jerseys are cut differently, a bit slimmer and are a bit more "fashionable". They're dramatically different from other jerseys, even other reebok jerseys. I wear an XL in normal jerseys, but a size L in the edge cut sweaters.

I only have two edge jerseys, and they happen to be my two favorites currently, but not because they're RBK EDGE (but because it's my monsters away and datsyuk home).

its not that they're cut differently, it's the fact that reebok pretty much has a stranglehold on sweater design. reebok bought out ccm which before was the main sweater provider. it just kinda bugs me when every team has to go with what one company tells them to go with, i remember when teams had either ccm, koho, nike, and other companies providing their sweaters.
but i like the new design of the 3rd sweater and will bite my lip and buy one.

nike did the same thing when they bought out bauer.

that is true but bauer is getting their name back, minus the nike moniker. nike still owns bauer but decided to let bauer remain as bauer not nike/bauer. it should take effect in a couple of years, i think.

the federov skate endorsement was driving at least some of that nike silliness.

to be truthfully honest i dont like how nike and reebok have taken hockey by storm. i personally have never owned a pair of nike shoes let alone nike skates and probably won't, same with reebok. granted i do have a pair of ccm roller hockey skates that i recently purchased (which technically reebok owns) so i guess this is my first pair of reeboks, technically speaking.

The "Big Guys" always have to have their name on something....

I had nike and reeboks in high school, before I thought about how and where stuff gets made. I wear red wings now (not for the hockey reference, but because they're made in the USA). it is very bizarre to think about these two shoe titans trying to muscle each other out of a sport that has very limited viewership and smaller still star recognition. Honestly, outside of hockey fans, who has heard of Koivu?

Right. You ask even a pretty average sports fan to name 5 NHL players and they couldn't do it. They'd be able to give you Crosby, if they didn't just call him "That kid from Pittsburgh" and maybe Ovechkin and thats it.

that's how i guage people that wear nhl hockey sweaters, i go up to em and ask how many players can they name that played for the team.
not to say that they're not a fan of the team but you should, if you're a fan of the team, know people who played for the team, retired or not.

That's the one, I didn't think there was that much red in it but you never know as they had a small picture of it.

I didn't think it had the red on top of the arms like that... and I guess I didn't notice the blue & white trim down the sides of the chest. Like you said, must have just been the small picture they were passing around...

Whoever made this image, took it directly from this quote I believe. So basically, its not the offical jersey.
