mitch love is a tool, plain and simple this is what his 3rd team in 3 years? he stinks as a player and worse as a fighter, glad we got rid of him.

I was talking about Bordeleau the other day with the people who sit behind me. He was up briefly with us last year, and I don't think he lost a fight then, either, did he? Would love to see him go up against some of the heaviest of the AHL heavyweights like Yablonski (though that will never happen, since the Monsters never play Binghamton) or Mike Hoffman.

#58 = "The Train". I was at both games vs Peoria and I must say Patrick did a good job in both fights vs Love! Lets hope he keeps up the good work and wins a lot more fights through out the season! It would be a good test if he goes up against Jon Mirasty when we play the Crunch.

He is definitely a momentum changer, which is great in close games. Mitch Love has been all over the league ever since he left Cleveland. Nice to see Love get his a** handed to him.

i agree on the good test if he fights mirasty. is he still with the crunch ? i thought i read awhile ago the crunch released mirasty - i could be wrong . but i would love to see that go down between the two players . bordeleau has the reach on him . i don't think he lost a fight last year either . he just punishes the boards and he awesome to watch ! you can see it in his face that he's out there to hit ! i hope he gets more and more ice time . he seems to tire easy .

I think you are looking at Mitch in the wrong context. Mitch isn't a pure enforcer but rather he fights to get his team pumped up. In essence, he is just an energy guy.

Love stood NO CHANCE against PB. Love gave up at least 6", 40 lbs. and 3" reach in that fight with him.

Love has bounced around the league because Mitch can't really do much other than throw his fist. He never has. 5 goals (6 if you count the post season) as a professional isn't going to keep you in the focus of any team...

I know stats don't prove anything when looked at them on a sheet of paper and he is certainly a better skater than I am but still, as a professional, his career appears to be no higher than the AHL. I would expect him to be in the ECHL or the like for the rest of his hockey career even though he is a supremely nice guy...

I think Patrick Bordeleau is without a doubt the most well rounded tough guy we have had play pro hockey in this town in a long long time. I'll go out on a limb and say he is the toughest fighter in the entire AHL. I thought he played one heck of a game last Sunday. He skated well, finished checks, created scoring opportunities and almost scored twice himself. Coaches just love it when they get this kind of play out of their fighter.

Look for Patrick Bordeleau to give Andre Deveaux a shot at the title this Friday at the Q.

All i have seen from him is big things. A few weeks back, KIMonster and i watched him start the game off with a fight. That set the tone for the game for the boys.

Love got his tale whipped good both games. Bordeleau at least knows the Code when he had Love down on the ground, not to many guys in this league respect that anymore. I hate to say but he has skils and he is no dummy on the ice especially against Peoria. Keep hitting them Bords!!

considering the overall small size of our team (minus stoa & o'neill) it is CRITICAL that PB takes regular shifts as a fourth liner. he does bring that physical presence others here are talking about and makes others second guess picking on our little guys (haydar, sertich, fritsche and marshall)...

i was surprised he didn't have a go with that heat player that boarded marshall (of course, no call on it!) last game. i think the refs saw it coming though...

I didn't realize this, but Patrick has apparently been all over the place the past two years.

According to hockeydb.com, since the start of the 2007-08 season, he has played with five(!) different ECHL teams (Charlotte, Wheeling, Pensacola, Augusta, and Florida), four different AHL teams (Lake Erie, Milwaukee, Albany and Springfield), and what appears to be a college team (St. Thomas University).

Ten different teams in two years? That has got to be close to some sort of record, doesn't it?
