Ok, so the Monsters host Abbotsford on Sunday for the first time in franchise history. I was seeing how Abbotsford was and came by an amazing statl In 13 games the Heat have taken 422 Penalty Minutes! Our powerplay will definatley get some time tomorrow. I believe that I saw that they average around 32 penalty minutes per game. Talk about an undisciplined hockey club. Hopefully the powerplay can continue it's, somewhat, tear that we had on Friday. Go Monsters!

former Baron and fan favorite Riley (brother of current Thrasher and former Penguin, Colby) Armstrong is playing with the Heat this year. Looking forward to give him a welcome back to town...preferably in front of a big crowd!

EDIT: forgot to add former Baron Jason Jaffray and former Monster Jamie Lundmark coming back to town. Lundmark's in-laws live in Lakewood...

I have to admit Abbotsford is a good team but we should've beat them at least in overtime.Go Monsters.

The Heat played a text book road game: kept it simple, didn't get impatient, and took away the Monsters' passing lanes. Okay, playing three in three against physical opponents may have contributed to Cleveland losing that third game, too. Still, props to Abbotsford for playing their brand of hockey well.

It was nice to watch some of the Cleveland younger players, in particular Ford and Marshall, taking complete advantage of their opportunities. It's too bad that some of our top prospects aren't doing the same. Going high in the draft doesn't seem to translate to effort on the ice right now.

Well said EZF118.The games I have been too this year there was no type of effort on our Team. I am not sure type of Team or Coach we have this year, seems to me we are just sitting back on our heels, with 2 to 3 min time frame to attack in each peroid. Its seem like they are geting pushed around alot more with this type of play. I still have high hopes this will turn around,I just want to see more Hard nose play.

they played three games in three nights, that is tough for anyone to do, and i don't know if abbotsford played the night before or not, they may have they may have not but the monsters still kept it competitive for the most part even though they looked slow and tired it was still a close game and if some of the shots and bounces went our way who knows we may have pulled that game off, they had their chances both teams did, it was abbotsford who had the quicker legs and everything going for them, to lose 2-1 and keep it competitive when you are gassed is a hard work ethic, this is what i want to see every night. i can accept a one goal loss, if they would've gotten blown out than it would have been a different story.

I agree with you completely. I was watching the post game interviews and someone in the one interview said they played three games in 39 hours, that is a lot of hockey in a very small amount of time. I think it said a lot about the team and their work effort the way they played this weekend, especially with so many call-ups.
