Great, we now won't have to face Jimmy Howard 8 times a year. I think detroit is in trouble since the Griffins weren't much better than us this year and their #1 net minder will be up with the Wings. (Actually seen him skating with the cup)

jimmy howard is playing like a future hall of famer. so is MacIntire w/ the Moose. There's a lot of talent in our division in the netminder position.
I'm glad Dom is retiring. He's got the right attitude about it and had a great career. Osgood is a stellar goaltender and it was nice to see him get the starts. Considering that the vast majority of the Red Wings were home-grown developed prospects, I think they've got some years of stability yet. Maybe it's fan blindness, but I see them remaining competitive if not dominant for another few seasons.
Is Chelios just holding on until his son gets into the NHL draft?

i think chelios is going to be another gordie howe in hoping to play with his son side by side like mr. hockey did. hasek has had a stellar career and rightfully so should retire AGAIN. happy trails to him and since he is gone osgood SHOULD be the number 1 and howard should take the back up position.
