Tonight is the AHL All Star Game. It will be shown live on FSN OHIO at 7 I believe. Should be interesting to watch.

But this should bring up a discussion on LEM hosting the 2010 All Star Game. If the Worcester Sharks (our number 1 rival! even though we don't play them) can get the 09 game, I think its safe to say we have a GREAT chance to get the next one. Enless they decide to go old school and give Hershey or a team like that a game. Gund Arena is a major league venue, and i'm sure one of the largest venues in the AHL. It would be good for the city, and the LEM.

Also, Cleveland hosted the first "All Star Game" in AHL history.

The capacity in Binghamton is about 5,000. WHY?! What a waste.

cleveland will host the all-star game hopefully!, with one of the bigger arenas around it would be a shoe-in to have it here.
i watched the all-star game and man was that arena small but that is what minor league is, its not about playing in an nhl size arena like the q is. the all-star game was kinda boring too slow and i know its for the all-stars but this is hockey i want to see guys get slammed into the boards and play physical that is what makes them all-stars the ability to play physical and score not just dance with the puck.
but yeah we should be able to host the all-star game. **** we got five years so we gotta good chance.

Who enjoys 9-8 games? All Star games are sometimes fun but it would be nice if they were a little more competitive. The NHL all star game tends to have similar scores. I know most people like to see a lot of goals scored but, it would be nice to see a little bit of defense too.

I enjoyed the 9-8 game. I think it can't get much more competitive then a one goal game. All star games are entertainment, lots of goals are entertaining, good defense, not so much.

It isn't a waste. I would rather see a fuller arena for an ASG than half empty like it was last year in Toronto. It was nice to see the place almost filled in Binghamton.

You really don't get the draw for an ASG like you think. If your favorite player isn't in the game, you really don't have a reason to go. Of course, if you have favorite players on multiple teams, it is a bonus to get to see them (esp. if they are now playing in a different conference).

It was so great to have representation from your Team at the Game!
Glad you had a good time in our cozy venue, hopefully you'll be the hosts in the future.
