What a strange game. The first seven minutes, we looked like we couldn't beat a decent college team. We ran around in our own zone a lot and were lucky to "only" be down 2-0.
But then a strange floater goes in to make it 2-1, and then the power play kicks in and scores three times. And of course we give up the tying goal late in regulation (on what should have been goalie interference, by the way), and then do something we seem to never do -- win in a shootout at home.
Great efforts from McNicholl, Bradford, and Haydar among many others. Didn't think we stood a chance in this game.
That was a great way to sum it up. After we gave up 2 I thought we were done. Loved the effort out there tonight! Hopefully we'll bring it into tomorrow!
Yeah, weird game to say the least. The officiating was questionable at best. I too was preparred for a looooong game when we went down 2 - 0, but what a comeback. Should have never gone to OT, but hey, it was a good hard faught win for us. Let's keep it up.

The officiating was bad! That was 100% Goaltender Interference for the Peoria tying goal. Cann had possession and then lost it because a Peoria player colided with him, probably intentionally. Horrible officiating. On the other hand, I was scared to death in the shootout. Cann has been horrible so far, in my oppinion, with the exception of the first game in Texas, so I thought that Peoria would score often in the shootout and beat us. However, he played well and gave a good amount of fans a good game to watch. A game like this in front of alot of fans could really help us in the quest to draw more fans to the games!

Haydar is an excellent player and he's going to be great for this team. I loved watching him play w/ the griffins. Sunday's game should be interesting.

The 1st period was HORRIBLE. The late 2nd/3rd periods were good. Nice to see McNicoll and Bradford get some awesome goals. Haydar is what the Monsters needed, he is looking great.

I think Haydar will provide leadership the way Keane does for Manitoba (and Chelios will probably do for Chicago this year). If the Monsters catch a few breaks and get their lines settled, they might make the postseason. It's still way to early to tell, but he might be the spark for that change the Monsters have been needing.

Monsters lack sizable players. They get pushed around easy. Team was making passes pretty good and taking shots more often than in the past under Sacco, but they struggle on the D because we don't have those big guys to defend the front of the net. Our D has done a good job of getting the puck out quickly though, but if it's not in our possession, they struggle.
