Sunday's Quick Facts: Tonight is the 80th and final game of the Monsters inaugural season. They played their last home game last night, falling 4-1 to Hamilton at The Q. Regardless of the outcome of tonight's game in Rochester, the Monsters will finish the year in sixth place in the North Division.
The Monsters and Amerks will meet for the sixth time today. Lake Erie is 3-1-1-0 against the Americans this season, including 1-1 in Rochester. Chris Stewart (4G, 2A) and T.J. Hensick (1G, 5A) have led the Monsters against the Amerks with six points each in the season series.
Heading into the last game of the season tonight, Eric Healey will claim the points title for Lake Erie. The veteran winger has 53 points (21G, 32A) entering the final game. Rookie right wing Chris Stewart will most likely finish the year with the most goals on the team. He has 25 goals coming into tonight's game.
Wasted $6 to watch this game online...this is like bad ECHL hockey or something. How can you give up five goals in one period to the AHL's second worst offense and worst team (by a long shot)? A team that is being outscored by nearly ONE HUNDRED this year?
A few months ago, I thought this team was headed toward at least contending next year, but I don't expect much anymore after watching the guys get outplayed by every team they face. A shame considering the fan support they are getting. Hopefully Colorado will step up and make some big changes, because no one will support a loser for very long.
the game was supposed to be televised but since it is MINOR league hockey and not a major level sport they went with the cavs, which i am not a fan of. i actually watched the last seconds of the cavs game and you know what after the win the first person off the court was none other than king lebron himself, he couldnt even slap the hands of the kids, he just went down the tunnel. what a great ambassador, i hate him and the cavs. oh yeah last nights game, i LISTENED to the last couple minutes cuz i forgot the game was still on the radio and was shocked to see that the score was 6-5 against rochester. well for one thing they are consistent they lost the first game and yep lost the last game. hopefully next season will be better, i am not turned off by their inaugural season, i already locked in my season tickets way before the season ended and would rather watch minor league hockey then basketball.

I am with you on that one. I can't stand Lebron James and the Cavs. I'm personally a Utah Jazz fan, but thats besides the point. Still, why did they say then the game would be televised if they knew there was a Cavs game going on? Just curious. It probably was better that I didn't see it.
utah jazz. ever see baseketball? in the beginning, there's a long monologue about teams moving. the lakers went to LA where there are no lakes. The jazz went to Utah where they've outlawed music.
funny bit.
