I guess we're sharing the team. The following comes from the NHL.com:
Chiefs to serve as ECHL affiliate of Blue Jackets and American Hockey League's Syracuse Crunch
COLUMBUS, OHIO – Columbus Blue Jackets General Manager Scott Howson announced August 22 that the club has reached an agreement with the Johnstown Chiefs to serve as the ECHL affiliate for the Blue Jackets and the American Hockey League's Syracuse Crunch for the 2008-09 season.
"We are very excited to be partnering with the Chiefs this year," said Blue Jackets Assistant General Manager Chris MacFarland. "Developing players is crucial to the long term success of any team, and we feel Johnstown will be a positive place for our young players to learn the game and gain professional experience."
Johnstown, the only remaining original ECHL franchise, celebrated its 20th season in the ECHL in 2007-08. The Chiefs also serve as the ECHL affiliate for the Colorado Avalanche and AHL's Lake Erie Monsters. Columbus was affiliated with the ECHL's Elmira Jackals last season, after affiliating with the Dayton Bombers from 2000-07.
