Well, I see we got our vet to replace Wyatt. Willsie was sent down. That means in the last couple of days we've gotten Cumisky, Stewie & Willsie. We just may be OK

Thats great news but does he need to clear waivers first? If not, that leaves Colorado with only 1 guy left to cut. Who do you think or hope its going to be? This will no doubt be interesting, thats for sure.

"The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced Tuesday that it has reduced its 2008-09 roster to 23 players as required by the NHL with the reassignment of center T.J. Hensick and left wing Per Ledin to the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League.
Earlier Tuesday, the club reassigned right wing Brian Willsie to Lake Erie"

Im just happy the team appears to be head and shoulders above the team we had to ice last year. Comparing the defense from this year to last makes me shudder...Dale purinton ehh
Willsie at ahl level is a proven scorer and hope he gets the 'C'. i think its either between him or MacKenzie.
the captains 'C' will go to whomever can lead this team regardless of nhl experience. i can't remember who had the 'C' on for the pre-season games so i dont think willsie will have it for the opener. i am banking the season on the home opener and the first homestand. yes the team they had on ice last season fails in comparison to the team they are fielding this season, it should be a very good season (crossing fingers).
