He's close but not exactly on nhl level yet. I'm sure he'll play some games with the Avalanche this season and he's a lock to make the Avs next year.

stewart might be an up and down player with both the av's and monsters. hopefully next season he can make the av's roster. i was suprised that hensick was a late roster cut, i thought he woulda made the av's squad.

I was surprised too. I was staring at my computer screen wide eyed saying, "no way..."
With the new (old) coaching they have up there in Colorado, they'll be trying different things and I'm sure these guys will be headed up at some point in the season, and we may see some other guys coming back down. I just hope guys like Stewart and Hensick work when they are down here. I'm sure they will though. So long as we have people filling seats at the Q.

i think stewart has progressed since last season and i think he got his priorities straight and i hope he plays up to his potential that colorado wants him too otherwise he will never see the nhl or just sporatic stays with colorado. so we will see what he and the rest of the boys will do in the opener and hensick should play the up and down game as well. hopefully next season he can play with the big boys full time.

those graybushes in colorado need to retire and let the fresh blood up. do it next season though so our boys don't get beaten up before the wings repeat on the cup.

as much as i want the red wings to repeat as stanley cup champs, its not that easy anymore to repeat, look at anaheim, carolina, but if anyone has the capability to repeat it would be detroit. i agree, this might be sakic's last season which will free up some space so hopefully our guys will get their shot. only time will tell.
