Wow, with a schedule like this, I'll get to make more games than I realized. Sat, Wed, and sometimes Tue. are really the only days I could make it. With Sun games starting at 5 p.m., I might be able to makes some of those too. I see they start with 5 home games in a row. Hopefully that should give them some good momentum.

The ton of weekend games is a huge plus, but I'm already concerned with the team playing 16 of 18 on the road from 1/18 - 2/21. That could be a back breaker, so they really need to get off to a good start with all the early home games. Nice to finally see Hartford after six years of AHL hockey in Cleveland, and we haven't seen Manchester since the eighth home game in 2001.
And how about 2/25 and the weekends of 2/27 - 3/1 and 3/6 - 3/8? That'll be seven home games in twelve days - wow.
Yeah, they are definitely all on the weekend. I am only going to see about half of the games this year, what a bummer, added seats and I won't be in them...

well with all the weekend games we should have some pretty good attendance numbers for this year. i may try to make some of the weekend games that arent in my package (only a partial season ticket holder).

May have to pass some of mine off to you, the partial we added for the exchange is ALL WEEKEND GAMES. Nice weekday games, we bought the tickets for something to do during the week. I have an entertainment business and it is VERY HARD to make Weekend games (With the exception of SUNDAYS, so that's cool) Saturdays, my wife will have to get a date... (Usually my nephew or niece's kids want to go)... I already see 17 games I will not be at due to bookings. Funny thing is those bookings pay for the ducats to the games. Can't win for losing!!!

Sorry to hear some can't make it on weekends. You might want to ask you ticket rep to work things out with you, mine did last year. If you can't make certain games ask your rep to add that game you can't make to the games you can. I mean the rep would add a ticket to the games you can make. Just a thought.
Anyway, this is a weekend league/sport in Cleveland and we really need that in the town and last year proved that it can do very well on weekends if promoted right. More weekends is just what the doctor ordered if we are going to continue to build this fanbase. Just my 2 cents.

I love the schedule. I can see us setting an attendance record for Cleveland Hockey. They want to put families in the seats and Friday and Saturday games are the way to do that. I say the AHL made a great move for us to succeed this year. Way to go! Now if we can just get some local media coverage and get some good promos to pack people in there is going to be an awesome atmosphere at The Q.

well unfortunately the media coverage will not happen, since this is minor league team and not the nhl, but i agree more exposure is what this club needs. the ahl helped us out this season but i dont see this happening every season, would be nice but not likely.

I like it, although the Sunday games are a bit odd. I like that I don't have to run out of work and fly up to Cleveland to just make the game on time as much. Although a 1pm Sunday game is a little early for my taste. 5pm is better. But I'll take what I can get.
So does this mean Wednesday is the new College ID night? Or are they retiring that?

Right. The AHL will never keep this up. We lucked out so let's enjoy it. Has anybody taken in one of the Cavs/Monsters doubleheaders? We've always talked about it, even when the Barons were here, just never have. I don't know about retiring $1 Dog Night, just tweak it a little. Just make it for people with ticket packages. So it doesn't attrack a ton of "Non-Fans", but I can still eat 8 hot dogs for the price of 2.

first off eating 8 hot dogs is disgusting, i cant even stomach eating two. to the non-fans whereas i dont like them either, they are needed to keep this team in town. if we only allowed hockey fans to watch the monsters play the q would never be filled and this team would be just like the reincarnated barons. we need the fans, hockey fans and first timers to keep this team in town for a long time, otherwise this team will just move on and become just another statistic in the ahl.

I haven't done the Cavs/Monsters thing. I just have no interest in Basketball. I don't hate it or anything, I'm just not going to spend my money on it. And I'm sure a lot of basketball fans feel the same way about hockey. I'm certain there are folks that like both sports though. So the double header is probably good for them.

There weren't but 6 or so $1 dog nights last year. It would be SMART to move them to WEDNESDAY when they aren't gonna draw D**K... That would be a much better date. Also make it college ID night, that means the students can take advantage. Should put butts in the seats. I see SATURDAYs as their GIVE AWAY DAYS... Sundays the after game skates... Fridays as FAMILY NIGHT (They will probably put together a family night package with McDonalds or Burger King) That would make the most sense... THEN, Tuesday and Thursday's Game will be left to the STH for STH skates and appreciation night...

i really wasnt a fan of dollar dog nights anyways, so if they dont bring it back, its not hurting me. all the promos and free giveaways will be on the friday and saturday games, maybe even a couple on sunday games, dont really know all i know is i'm not gonna miss any of the giveaways this season.

The Lake County Captains have Dollar Everything night every Monday Home game, this includes beers. This is also marketed on their season pocket schedule. Might be a good idea for LEM to try this year especially if another AHL team already does this.
I think all of the 9 weeknight dates might be a good time to try this and get more people down there for weeknight games.

I'm not saying I "don't like" the Non-Fan. I've actually met some pretty good people that it was "their first" hockey experience. I don't mind if they are willing to learn a little bit, and don't just talk on their cell phone the whole time or whatever. I like the idea actually of $1 Dogs during the week. I believe thats when the Indians do it is on select Tuesdays. It would put some extra people in the seats other than the regulars. Help keep that average attendance up. The Akron Aeros do "Thirsty Thursdays" ($1 beers) and even "2 for Tuesdays" Tickets, Hot Dogs, Popcorn, & Beer are all 2 for 1. That makes a great deal.

it doesnt really matter to me, i regualarily dont eat @ the q so they could do pretty much whatever they wanted to to get people in the seats but what i have a problem is when people just have to get up to either go to the bathroom or go and get some food, while people are trying to watch the game. hockey etiquette it needs to spread.
