If you weren't at the preseason game last night agaist Rochester, the Monsters jersey has been changed a bit. The style is the same as last year, only without the "M" on the front. Instead, the "M" is on the left shoulder as it is on the third jersey, and the Monsters primary logo (Monster in the water with Lake Erie Monsters under the monster)has been put on the front. I personally don't care for it. The other design made the uniform look intimidating. The Avalanche have an "A" on the front, why not leave the "M" for Monsters on ours?
I have both of the originals (no 3rd jersey). The jerseys this year are the ones I was expecting to see year 1. The M is the alternate logo, which should be placed on the alternate jersey. The logo changes don't really make the jerseys look different though.

I thought it looked a bit small on some of the jerseys, mainly the goalies. I like it. Your primary logo should be on the front of your jersey. I could have seen leaving the "M" on the front of the road jersey.
I didn't make it to the break the ice event prior to the game...will the "M" be on the front of the 3rd jersey now? Did they explain the change?

i thought it looked small as well but i think it was because of the white surrounding it, the logo looks great on the 3rd sweater. looks like i'm gonna have to spend some more money and get this version, i don't think i'm gonna get the home version though.
i think the monster should be bigger, get rid of the lake erie monsters script and make the crest bigger that way it won't look so small (possibly an optical illusion) who knows. i like it anyway just putting my 2 cents to try and make it better.

Its Awesome! The Monster Logo is one of the best ever! I like it way better then the M. Hey look there at that guys jersey it has an M on it or Hey look at those creepy eyes on that guys jersey staring right at me. Just seems a little bit cooler. The A for the Aves is different in that it repersents a mountain and wait for it, an avalanche which is brilliant in its own right. I dont think the M can compare in coolness points. But hey that Monster logo smashes them all! Go Monsters!

The 3rd (black) jerseys will remain the same. The only changes are for the home (white) and road (wine) jerseys, on which the M (secondary) logo and Monsters (primary) logo are being switched.
The Griffins have a "design a third sweater" contest every year. I think the board members here could probably come up with a more appealing version than what the Monsters are rolling on their home jerseys.

Bummer. I would like to see the M on the 3rd's, I think it would look pretty cool, or as Hansons said, get rid of the text and make the monster bigger.
