There has been a ton of fighting/negativity on here lately, but for people that do care Willsie is back. Glad he got a shot with the Avs, but I am definitely happy to have him back with the Monsters. Hopefully this can stay positive
**** yeh ! good to have him back ! now hopefully some of the others will be back down soon . it's bittersweet to say that cause you know they want to stay up !
This is good news, But who gets sent away from the team? Kinda getting attached to a few of the newcombers really like what Ive seen since the Flu bug has left the building. Just wondering who will be the odd guy out.
probably burki, that ford kid wants to stay with us, so he is giving his all to impress the monsters. great to see willsie back, wonder if they will give him back the captaincy or...

According to the Avs website, McLeod is returning Wednesday, Preissing took practice without the non-contact orange jersey, and Tucker was taking part in drills..
McLeod came back last night, prompting Willsie's return to LE.
Tucker is still out but taking part in drills. When he and Hendricks are back, Dupuis and Durno will return, barring a waiver claim.
Salei is still out as well as Preissing. When one of them return, Wilson will be back. We'll have some kind of line up then!
One thing I saw in looking at box score last night was that Dupuis only played about 6 minutes. TJ Hensick, about 3(!)...
When TJ Galiardi returns, here's what I think the Avs are going to HAVE to do...
TJ Hensick should either be outright traded, if they're afraid they'll lose him on waivers, or he should be sent back here. He is doing NOTHING productive in Colorado having only played four of the 16 games so far. Even then, he's only played because of injury to others...
Hensick is not the kind of player who can just step into the line up after being in the press box all season and contribute. He needs major minutes he will not get this season.
They sent Stewart down when he needed to get his legs back and he's done well since being called back up.
With Hensick, we would cetainly be a better team. I am 100% positive the only reason they haven't sent him down to this point is they are afraid someone short on forwards (Detroit?) will stake a claim and end up with nothing in return...
Thoughts?

Hensick is definitely an interesting case. I don't know why, but I just cannot see Detroit picking him up. I do think he is definitely in danger of being claimed on waivers by someone, just not Detroit. I think the Avs have a real tendency to misuse some people, especially in call up situations. Who is going to produce anything when they are only getting three minutes of ice time? I think Dupuis and Hensick both have skill, they just need the chances. I'm not saying Hensick or Dupuis should be playing 20 minutes in a top line role, but at least give them time to try and prove themselves.
I am most interested in what happens when both Salei and Preissing are healthy. I am assuming Cumiskey will be the odd man out, but does that mean that they will send him down? I would love to have both Wilson and Cumiskey on defense down here, but what are the chances of this happening?
i too don't think that detroit will pick up hensick, he will either be traded or sent down, dupuis, durno, wilson and maybe cumiskey will be sent back to us the first three most definitely once the av's are all healthy, but cumiskey is doing very well with the av's, so he may or may not be back with us.

from my avs contacts, they seem to believe that preissing will be the odd man out.
it is believed cumiskey, like hensick, would be claimed if placed on waivers. other teams would be less likely to do so with preissing considering it would cost them the balance of his $2.75M salary rather than cumiskey's $900K.
and to be honest, i'll take him. preissing had some good numbers for a few years but was scrambled around on his pairings limiting his ice time and was eventually traded to OTT. as a senator, he was a +42 and had 38 points the year they went to the finals and lost to the ducks...

Durno is listed on the roster on the Monsters' website (which I find they tend to keep pretty well updated), so I would say that yes, he's probably playing tonight. Have to say, even though Ford and Sertich are probably out, I do like a lineup that includes Preissing, Willsie and Durno!
Both teams looked bad tonight. It didn't seem like there was any physical play at all. The Monsters were on the powerplay forever, and didn't shoot the puck. I still can't believe the shots were that close.

Durno should be back by Sunday I would guess. Maybe if Hendricks was a game time decision they kept him around just in case.
The LEM PP is awful. Did these guys forget how to shoot from the point and look for rebounds and so called 'garbage' goals? What about a frickin' one-timer? ARRRGGGHHHH! Now I know why Charlie Brown got so mad when Lucy pulled the football away everytime!

Right, tons of goals! I wish we would have been able to win it though. Our defense was NOT GOOD, to say the least. David Quinn wasn't too happy about it either in the postgame interview. Oh well, we'll get them on Wednesday!
