They are horrible this year, worse than ever. Last night that stiff ref #36 blew two calls that played a major factor in the game. Running Mike Wall, where was that call?? What about Boychuk getting run from behind. I'm sorry but these refs really suck.

that same official nearly played the puck a few times off his skates. he was pretty bad.

i heard that USA hockey sent up some kids, literally, to officiate some games for teams...ahem, not doing well, to get them some actual game experience before going off to the world championships in czech republic (!!!)

some of the guys i have seen out there don't even look like teenagers but tweeners...hahahahaha!

Three of the worst are Jamie Koharski, Francois St. Laurent and Ryan Fraser. Dread the game if you see them as the ref.

You got that right. Its a big boys club with Koharski and Fraser, I wonder how they got their jobs??

I believe the word is nepotism, which is defined as :
favoritism (as in appointment to a job) based on kinship
