As an Avalanche fan I truly love this discussion area. You guys are full of great information. Thank you very much for loving the game even if you aren't Avs Fans. I respect that even more. Go Monsters and thank you fans.

I am an Avs Fan, was never much of a hockey fan until this year. I frequent the Avalanche's board too, same moniker.
Just makes sense if we are going to support the Monsters to become Avs fans because they are our players that go to Colorado.

Good deal one convert. I get it though most people there are Blue Jacket fans. You all are a wealth of information though. Man, I didn't know half the team was injured or why. Found out the team signed Jeff Freisen here first. I love real fans of the game.

Wouldn't be too sure of that now. Think most Clevelanders were San Jose Fans when the Barons were here. We just haven't taken to the Jackets.
I learn more from the females here than you can imagine, they are well informed and know the game.

some of us were hockey fans before san jose had sharks and when the avs were the nords. blue jackets were for fall and local hockey meant a coin toss between the pens and wings.

i'm still pulling for the red wings.

God I hate to say this. Ned I think you are backing the winner this year. Best team in the NHL. I remember the short lived NHL Barons in the seventies also. I sure do miss the old days. Anyway, hopefully one of these days I can get out and see a game.

I hope all of you realize that the Av's are benifiting from this team. As bad as they have played up there. They have come up and immediately fit into the puzzle. Sacco is worthless, but his theories are backed by the Avalanche. If you guys want to get mad at anyone it should really be the Guigure (Avs GM) for the way they practice etc...

I know that many of the Lake Erie players are not happy with Sacco. I wonder how the team will evaluate him at the end of the year. They play the same systems as the parent club so that part can't be blamed on Sacco

Not so quick ned with the pens and wings. I bet a lot of us grew up watching the Leafs on the Ontario station. At least those of us in the 30 and over group.

I remember catching some grainy games on channel 11 from London from time to time. I always thought the leafs' glory days were behind them after this guy.

indeed (and impressive picking up on that one!) - sitting in the penalty box at madison square garden. horton was everything a defenseman should be (except sober).

i can honestly say i'm not an avs' fan. i am a red wings fan and a maple leafs fan. i do like columbus for the fact that ohio has a hockey team and hope they do well. i watch all the home games that are shown on fsn ohio, but my heart lies with detroit (was my father's favorite team and he used to take us up to the joe for games). i hope our guys (lake erie) that get called up do well though but i'm just not a fan of the av's.
