Monsters desperately need cash back. Wall has had some decent games lately, but doesn't get the job done like jason. Can someone tell me what's taking so long!...I find it interesting that no where on the site does it say anything about him even getting hurt or any updates when he'll be back like they do in the majors...monsters need him badly

we have the misfortune of being the affiliate of one of the most banged-up rosters in the NHL. then when our guys get banged-up, it only makes it that much worse. it's not quite to the point where the avs could play in the AHL, but it's getting there.

i hope to get to see cash play again before the end of the season. wall is improving and next year might be his year. if there's a silver lining, it's that mike is getting the development to be a stand-out soon. the downside is watching development is frustrating!

He has been assigned to Johnstown for a rehab stint.
Wall right now is better than Cash because of the long layoff. Nagging injury is the problem, he will get some ice time down at Johnstown without the speed of the AHL. This will allow him to heal faster

The stint in Johnstown is to last only 1 game. He is to join the team in Hamilton on Saturday. It should be a good test for Cash as the Chiefs take on Texas who has the best record in all of pro hockey 38-4-7.

i like cash, but wall is starting to improve and when you got a hot goalie in net (not to say he's red hot but he's won some tough games) you dont want to disturb that. yeah i would love to see either weiman or cash back before the end of the year, but if wall continues to do better then you gotta stay with him until he starts to struggle, then you switch.

You were at the game on Thursday 2-14, you seen the almost Let me put it in my own goal save... He was shaky at best, for some reason, that whiff in the Shootout WOKE HIM UP. His last save in the Shootout was TREMENDOUS, but that is his M.O. He can stop a pea shot at point blank to his right, but go glove side, well, i'll leave that alone

yeah i saw that, he is a good goalie though, not a great one and he is inconsistent i will give you that. but i also think its a breakdown of defense, case in point when we tied it at 2 a piece hershey came right back and put them ahead, which made us play from behind, luckily we got the equalizer and took it away from hershey in the shootout.
sometimes goalies, over analyze what a player is going to do instead of just doing what he knows in how to stop shots, this especially happens when a goalie sits too long and when is called on to play is shaky and commits too many errors, but in my previous comment, he is improving and he has won some tough contests, hershey is no slouch, they are 2nd in their division so for us to take it from them is an accomplishment. a win is a win.

Cash played well last night in Johnstown. He gave up 4 goals in a 5-4 shootout victory over Texas. 3 of the goals the defense left him out to dry. The 4th a shot from the point he said he would have to had back

in football, everyone blames the quarterback. in hockey, everyone blames the goalie. it's the trade-off for not having to skate around the whole game. Wink

Mike Wall (6 GA, 31 SV) in the Grand Rapids Game. No one sat here and got on him did they? They defended him on playing too much and getting tired.
Cash has been off almost 2 months, I will take him even though he was swiss cheese in the Shootout...

Wall is hot and cold. Some nights he's on fire and other nights he hasn't woken up. It doesn't help that our D is weak on keeping the opposing team on their side of the ice. I think Wall can get the job done if the coaching puts together a better defense plan. He shouldn't be taking so many shots. None of the goalies should be. We need a better effort in getting the puck out of our side of the ice. And most of all, we need to keep our legs in the third.

Wall does need to work with his glove more. He just doesn't seem confident with it.

our D is ill-defined. is boychuck a forward? vernace? we know purinton and love are playing back, but they've both been shooting a lot lately. it's not that our D is bad, but who's our D? we should be putting up a lot more points when we keep one (goalie) behind the blue line.
