Someone on another topic said with Healey and Smith gone, we wouldn't have a viable Captain and we should sign one. While the point is not totally without merit I think we may have one.
Brian Willsie (with 334 games of NHL experience) may be the guy to lead this team. If, that is, he doesn't win out the 4th line checking role for the Avs in camp.
Other possible candidates are Chris Durno, Matt Hendricks, or Aaron MacKenzie...
I agree in that another veteran D-man should be signed but this team, on paper, is head and shoulders above the squad that was here last year.
The guys that we traded for or were signed are more mobile and better in tune for the "new" NHL style of play. We are bound for good things this year, I can just feel it...

those are all possibles but i dont think we will see a captain at the beginning of the season, not until someone steps up and leads this team. i will expect to see sacco's decision after the first 5 game homestand.
